Not only does Warhammer Gold use a different class and skill system, much has changed in the world of Norrath in the last 500 years, including the death of your EQLive character. But, there are implemented heritage element in Warhammer Gold, allowing new characters to carry on the name and gain an heirloom relative to their EQLive character(s). There are also heritage quests available that you can do to obtain items from the original Everquest game. A few examples of this are the Flowing Black Silk Sash, Dwarven Work Boots, or the Bone Bladed Claymore.
